Kirsten Greenleaf brings 13 years of experience working as a Registered Massage Therapist to Healing House. She has a BA in History from Queen’s University and graduated in 2001 from the Massage Therapy Program at Algonquin College.
Prior to attending Algonquin College, Kirsten worked as a counsellor with people with acquired and traumatic brain injury. This experience taught patience, compassion and reinforced the need for strong communication skills. As an RMT, Kirsten has worked with a number of physiotherapy clinics throughout her career. This has given her significant insight into assessing and treating musculoskeletal injuries. Kirsten has most recently been working with a massage therapy clinic. This has given her significant insight into a wide range of clients massage therapy needs including those associated with pre-natal, and pre and post-operative conditions.
Kirsten has been a part-time faculty member at Algonquin College for the past 11 years. She also teaches a couples massage course for the City of Ottawa. Born and raised in Ottawa, and a resident of Hintonburg for the past 10 years, Kirsten loves living, working and bringing up her family in this community.
